Transistor Ignitions use a coil that has very unique electrical characteristics. Note that ignition coils designed for point style ignition systems will not provide the high secondary voltage that a T.I. coil produces.
New Replacement T.I. Coils (coils having no embossments and a reproduction foil label) for 1964-71 T.I. equipped cars are currently available.
