T. I. Specialty is owned and operated by DAVE FIEDLER and was formed in 1982. As the name implies, it specializes in the repair and restoration of components used in the GM/Delco Transistor Ignition as well as the restoration on all 1962 thru 1974 Corvette tach drive distributors. Since that time, T. I. Specialty has helped thousands of Corvette owners by restoring their systems to original appearance and performance. I strive for excellence in workmanship and I focus exclusively on ignition systems.
T.I. Specialty is a one man business. I want to do everything to the best of my ability…your patience would be appreciated.
Remember, when you have problems with your Corvette Ignition, others will sell you parts, T.I. Specialty will offer you solutions.

The T.I. Specialty shop contains the right tools, fixtures, and machinery to restore ignition systems correctly. Precision equipment, experience and attention to detail, make the difference.
Listed are some of the more specialized equipment necessary for the proper restoration of Distributors and Amplifiers.
- Monarch precision Toolmakers lathe with dual axis digital readout.
- Branson heated ultrasonic cleaning unit.
- Trinco blast cabinet with glass bead and plastic media capabilities.
- Three fully functional Sun Distributor machines.
- Custom made Bench Test machine to system check ignition components.
At T.I. Specialty, if it is not possible to restore components to original Delco specs and authenticity – it probably cannot be done!
